LIFEGUARD CAMP :D One word: FUN! I have to say that I really enjoyed myself tremendously during these two days of camp and this camp really bonded us together. It's already an ice-breaking event itself for me because I got to know a lot of people, almost all of them. We had much fun together, and of course, saw the dark side and gossips of lg. Dark side not necessarily be the bad kind of 'dark side'. Some examples are strict in terms of discipline(probably only during camps), talking about people's armpit hair and laughing till our cheek muscles and abs ached, etc. Let's not talk about the armpit hair because it's pretty gross. Just some information about it: a girl has a dense pubic hair growth under her armpits and Abel just kept harping on it while doing those damn funny actions. It's always interesting to have these kind of people around in a group as they brighten up our lives. Imagine everyone is like introvert and monotonous, lg will become a damn boring CCA and no one will ever want to join lg. We had games like Ultimate Frisbee, disappearing musical chairs(when there wasn't even any music), and many other water games. The frisbee game was the most tiring one, but my group won 1st! :D I'm so so so proud of that hahaha. Justin also won 2nd in the disappearing musical chairs game. Our group was named Squirtle hahaha, weird name. Anyway, Squirtle came in second afterall :D Theory was quite okay for me, because it's the first time I attended the theory training hahaha. We learnt EAR blabla and I kept confusing the steps up D: I had to go home to rewrite everything in order to memorise the whole EAR procedure lol. After theory, we went for dinner at Wa Chee or whatever kopitiam is that. I had a super oily chicken cutlet meal, man it's sooo damn unhealthy. The second day of the camp was quite interesting as well, just that it kept raining. Liying pulled me to the guard post to wait for the instructor with her. We had quite a chat and played the stupid thumbs game hahaha. We waited there for some 30min before we decided to go back to the pool deck. The security guard also talked to us and he was damn hilarious! It was quite entertaining to have him there haha. When we reached the pool deck, coach was calling the instructor and told us that he went to ACSI instead of ACJC LOL. So my guess was correct :D In the end Liying and I had to go back to the guard post to welcome the instructor. He looked like some kopitiam uncle la! He had a big belly, just like coach HAHA. It started drizzling when we were walking across the basketball court. So we watched some of the J2s taking their AM test. However, the girls like Sheena and Wilma were rather entertained by the waterpolo guys LOL. The captain of the waterpolo guys had a damn great body. Wide shoulders and well-defined muscles and abs, there's no reason why those girls shouldn't drool over him haha. After the J2s had their practical, we went down for lunch and birthday celebration for the Jan to March babies hahaha. I was even scammed by Wilma that Wilfred is her twin brother, damn it. After that was a fail goal-setting session. It soon became a gossip session when Abel came to talk about the girl with dense armpit hair (again) LOL. Then we went to the pool deck again and changed out. It started pouring heavily so we had no choice but to stay indoors. We made water bombs for the whale game afterward and had quite a bit of fun haha. Hmm when the rain was smaller and the lightning alert was gone, they commenced the swim meet. Okay it was a rather fail swim meet due to the weather. The whale game was quite boring and I think a lot of people complained because it's really pain when the water bombs hit them. I wasn't hit by a single water bomb because I didn't go up the 'whale' HEHE. I will die if I did because the 'sharks' will flip the whale and I would be stranded in the middle of the pool, which is 1.8m deep O.O There was also the rope-throwing event which my group signed me up for the swim meet. Okay I seriously suck at that moment probably because I was too nervous. Sorry Squirtle I've made all of you disappointed! Haha I know it's okay la, just that I felt quite shock when my rope-throwing skill was super lousy during the meet while it was passable when I was training for the event D: After that we had to perform the EAR to a living person. My partner was Fengyu LOL. He's damn funny la. I think KY complained that his leg was damn heavy because we had to carry his leg to the other side to put him in recovery position. Both Fengyu and I completely forgot about to constantly hold the 'victim' in a head tilt/chin up postion, which means we failed ourselves hahaha. Then we cleaned up and it's time to go home! It's only yesterday that I know that so many of the lg people take LRT! I was so happy la! It's the first time I took the LRT with so many people hahaha. The next day we went to the president's house to play and have fun. Okay there wasn't much things to play there. I went to play the drawing game and Halo, watch Sparta or whatever and look at dogs, that's all. After that I left with some of the people in between because I had to go home to chiong homework (which I didn't LOL). That's about yesterday LOL, completed in a paragraph. I have to thank Adriel for going to JE lib to 'mug' with me today, if you consider doing 8 chem questions as mugging haha, and accompanying me to Bras Basah to literally look at books and bought nothing HAHA. Today has been a great day :D (because I love the rain, not Adriel ROFL) Bye! Monday, March 15, 2010
14/03: WOOHOO! Yesterday was supposed to be my breaststroke training day at Jonathan's house, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't manage to swim yesterday, sigh. I went to Jonathan's house with Adeline, Lim & Chia Lishan hahaha. The first thing that caught our eyes was the box of Pokemon figurines LOLOL. Adeline and Chia started rummaging through the box, in search for figurines that catch their attention. After some time, we decided to select some Pokemon figurines that represent the peeps of 1SC8 and some teachers like Mdm Baljeet, Mdm Lui, Mr Jayme, Mr Lim and Mr Mark Ng. Haha it was damn hilarious when we were trying to choose which figurines looks like who. After that we played Wii hahaha, damn fun. We played Mario Kart, then some other sport games. I was totally owned by liuliu in pingpong la, but at least I owned Lim in slicing hehe. I didn't take any pictures yesterday, but Lim and Adeline did. So here are the links to the pictures uploaded in Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30800155&id=1161031750#!/album.php?aid=2043801&id=1161031750 http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=399989&id=825190480&ref=mf0 Then we had nothing to do after playing Wii and it was still raining hippos and rhinos outside. Jonathan started strumming his guitar and then Adeline started playing piano and she was damn pro I tell you. She could even play the songs in Secret. And then the rest of them started singing damn lot of English songs and songs from HSM. I felt so left out la D: HAHA I was just stoning there and idling around while they were busy singing their oh-so-awesome English songs. Well at least I got to introduce them to some kpop from Youtube hahaha. After that when the rain stopped, we went down for basketball! Yeahh... It was so damn slippery and the 3-pointer mark was totally off. The court wasn't of the same size of an actual court. Okay I just had to stop complaining about the off-size court and how slippery the ground was. I could have played much better if it hadn't rain, seriously, HAHA. I slipped and fell on my right leg again, damn it. Fortunately it was just a minor cut hehe. We went up and somehow we talked and talked and talked until the sky was dark. I thought I could go for a swim or something, but after I decided not to, the girls just kept talking and dragged the time. After that they went to use Jonathan's computer to looks at chiobus on Facebook and using his account comment on the Mr Lim's picture. Hahaha so hilarious la! They wrote like LUBBBB MR LIM or something, damn gross one. Finally when we decided to leave his house, Lim was still ogling at those chiobus' pictures, which looked damn wrong you see... Okay then we went to Subway at Cityvibe woohoo I love my Cold Cut Trio :D I reached home at around 10.30pm, which my swimming trunks on for 10hours plus without going to swimming, nice one. 15/03: GYM + SWIMMING Yeah I woke up early today just to go to school to gym. I had to wait for someone to come accompany me to go to the gym! Because apparently no one I knew was at the gym and I felt quite awkward if there isn't anyone going to the gym with me. So I had to wait for Rex or Jonathan, who woke up damn late, to come. Rex and his classmate-cum-lg mate came. We introduced ourselves and yeah, so we went into the gym. Okay just the usual stuff, like working on the machine and running on the threadmill, nothing much to talk about. After that, Justin(also from lg), Jonathan and I went up to the cafe for lunch. Justin took out a stack of poker cards and we just played daidi in the presence of teachers LOL. They said it's okay because the cafe is considered as a public place. I don't know... Anyway Miss Chen was there too *gasp* haha just kidding. Then I got to know Dave and Wilma(I had trouble remembering this name) who bought a cute mini cake for Jonathan. There was a figurine on the cake which he used to squirt water hahaha. Then while we were waiting for Jonathan to finish his cake, a girl behind me just tapped my shoulder and said 'uh that guy wants your number'. I was like 'HUH' with O.O, completely stunned. The next moment I was wondering if they were playing Truth or Dare. Justin was also wondering too, but after that I don't think they were playing. Then that girl asked again and I just acted blur hahaha. A while later, the same girl came to the front and talked to me. She asked 'Are you from Peihwa?' I said 'Ya...' and I looked at the girl behind her. 'Do you know who is she?' and before I could recall her name, the same girl said 'Sheryl!' I was like 'OOHHHH hi Sheryl!' Then the both of us were smiling damn widely, like some long lost friends, even though we aren't supposed to just smile widely when we realised we are each other's long lost friends haha. She carried on asking 'What class are you from?' I replied 'Charity6' Then she was like 'Ohh okay... There are many Peihwa kids in AC!' and left. Haha what a weird person. After that I was thinking 'Huh, why call us Peihwa kids? So yucky'. When we could finally swim, it rained. OKAY GG. Justin just didn't care and jumped into the pool, of course in his trunks LOL. The rest of us waited till the rain subsided to a drizzle then we went to the 1.5m pool. I was tiptoeing my way in the pool la HAHA. It's just natural reaction for me to tiptoe in the pool because I was afraid I would drown. And as I walk, I was also scared that I might slip and drown HAHAHA. They kept asking me to just do what I've learnt during the swim PE but I couldn't! I have never swum in a 1.5m pool, only in a 1.0m pool. So I insisted on going to the 1.0m like a stupid child(just exaggerating) and we went. Well, the three pros were trying to devise a method to teach me how to swim. After some time, none of them really worked, so I was like some white mice being sacrificed for their experiment D: hahaha, Dave and Wilma went to the deep pool to play instead while Jonathan stayed and taught me. HE WAS A DAMN GOOD TEACHER! I was really amazed at the he taught me. He could even come up with an answer to my stupid questions, really damn 佩服 him. He was very patient as well. Well, poor me also had to keep trying and trying till I get the hand and leg movements right ): But everything done was worth it :D All I need to do now is to improve on my coordination and learn how to breathe, I think. Haha. I was panting quite heavily after that, and was quite tired too. We were told to get out of the pool by a woman who was bringing a group of cheena aunties and uncles around the sports complex, damn it. AC's lightning alert system is seriously screwed up. The ones at the sports complex only lit up when there wasn't any rain, but was kinda malfunctioning when it's raining hippos and rhinos-.- Lousy. After that we went to the cafe to slack a while and they cabbed to whatever place that they wanted to go. I got a free trip from the school to the MRT station LOL. Then I got home, bathed again and wanted to sleep, but didn't. Haha. That's all for today, bye! Saturday, March 13, 2010
Mugging isn't productive at all for today. I didn't complete an assignment because I kept switching in between D: Yeah, all thanks to my patience. I was chatting with Liying about all the lg stuff just now and I just learnt that Liying has WOOHOO. She's damn noob la, she even needs someone to help her decipher everything. Yeah, EVERYTHING. All she did was to receive that folded piece of paper while I have to look for clues and decipher all the stuff on the blog. Great job, to myself :D Tomorrow I make sure I spam her to ask about the results hehehe. I'll be going to Jonathan's house to train tomorrow, I seriously hope that it doesn't rain tomorrow, otherwise I'm going to suffer (probably) during the lg camp. I have to learn at least the breaststroke and swim 200m(?), as said by Liying D: Actually I really have to thank Liying for helping me to get ready the stuff that I need for lg. She got me mentally prepared for the trainings and camps, and now I know the expectations of being in lg. I really have to push myself hard enough so that I won't be lagging behind the rest too much, although I'm already lagging behind by A LOT A LOT already haha. I will only know how I would be able to cope with the trainings after tomorrow. Hope everything turns out well tomorrow (: I'll be playing bball at Jonathan's condo with Adeline and the two Lishans! Hahaha, I think I'll be own by Chia Lishan because she the captain of her secondary school bball girls team! :O At the same time I would be able to train so that every match against Adriel will be a definite victory HAHAHA. Just joking la Adriel :D It depends on what team members I get actually.. I think I'll be damn tired to do any homework after swimming and bball, two super energy-draining sports. I doubt I can play well in bball tomorrow after swimming anyway, hahaha. I'm now chatting with Weiming, as in the Nanhua/ACJC senior Chai Weiming. I asked him for the hockey teacher I/C's number, and he suddenly asked me how was hockey for me so far. I was dumbfounded when I saw this question because I'll be quitting hockey already and he actually asked me this question. Well I just said it's okay, but I'm quitting. He was unexpectedly calm. I was expecting him to like flare up or keep probing me. Instead he was like 'lol', 'why?', 'boring?'. I was quite relieved to see this kind of replies. So I carried on telling him the reason and he actually understood what I mean. What an understanding senior hahaha. He even told me who I could approach to if I needed help, so good right? It's so unlike him when he's in NCC, lol. I'm fortunate to have quite a number of people who actually cared and helped me here. Thanks everyone, you all add life to my life! :D (then I have 9 lives, MEOW) -.- Friday, March 12, 2010
LAST DAY OF TERM 1 :D Okay I don't even know if I should put that wide smiley face in the first place or not. Term 1 just flew past me at the speed of light, I don't even expect it to end so early. New expectations will be awaiting us as soon as Term 2 starts. I don't know if I should be happy about the last day of Term 1 or not. Let's just say holidays are the things that make me happy, and something which I can look forward to. Yeah, look forward to mugging. I have tons of homework waiting for me to be cleared even though I'm ahead of the others in terms of homework. I even ponned photog camp and lied to the CCA leader that I have to go overseas from Saturday till next Tuesday because the camp will be held from Monday to Wednesday. I really need time to study okay, I couldn't dedicate all my time to my CCAs even though I have interest in them. All thanks to Liying's psycho-ing, I'm now in Lifeguards. Everytime I think that I'm actually going to join lg, I would think that I'm a major loser. It's all because of my lack of confidence as I can't swim. Although I was told that they will teach me how to swim, I really need the perseverance and sheer determination in order to learn the strokes well. According to the lg timeline I got from the teacher I/C, the Lifesaving 1, 2, 3 will be on 27 May which means I have roughly around two months to learn breaststroke and freestyle well. Any confidence? Maybe. It all depends on the way I approach this new challenge. Up till now I have no idea how am I going to face this challenge. Just let nature takes its course, I guess. I don't know if I should feel excited or intimidated by the daunting schedule and expectations of being in lg. I really hope that it wouldn't make me regret to quit hockey, that's all I can wish for. I know at this point of time Liying would probably tell me 'Won't one la!'. Haha, hope so! 船到桥头自然直, that's the phrase that I always say. Now I'm gonna say this to myself. HAVE CONFIDENCE AND FAITH IN YOURSELF, YOU CAN DO IT! I shall try my very best to train myself to meet the expectations of my new CCA and not drag everyone down(although I don't think I will even if I fail the test LOL). I shall not disappoint myself and prove my mother wrong! :D Hopefully the lg camp on Wednesday to Friday will be a fun and interacting one so that I'll be able to mix with my new mates. Bye, emo kid. Hello! I wanted to blog yesterday but I was rather preoccupied with the GP assignment. I seriously dislike Government and Politics. I have completely no interest in those stuff, what Obama, Clinton, Hilary blablabla... I'm only (kinda) interested in the government issues in Singapore because I'm a Singaporean myself. What policies that other countries implement don't really interest me much, but I guess I still have to force myself to read them. Anyway, yesterday I went to KAP to study with Adriel, Nixon, Angeline and Linda, who left soon after eating. Studying with them was rather productive :D At least it's much better than studying with Wenya alone because she's more of a distraction rather than someone who is able to help me solve the questions haha. I completed Math tutorial 2 hehehe and started on tutorial 3, but gave up soon because I didn't know how to do quite a few questions. The stupid flu medicine caused me to feel damn drowsy while I was doing my Chemistry tutorial. Everytime I feel bored or sleepy, my DSLR would be something which perks me up hehehe. As usual, I snapped several random and candid shots of them doing their work or discussing something. It seemed like I was the slackest person yesterday, although I claimed that yesterday's study outing was productive lol. Nixon and Angeline kept spamming Adriel with questions, in the end Adriel couldn't do much of his homework hahaha. Fortunately I don't take Physics, and the Math topic which is taught in ACJC is different from JJC and NJC. So I was able to concentrate on doing my work without anyone asking me questions. Anyway no one will even ask me questions la, I'm quite a noob at Math. We left KAP at about 6pm plus and bus 67 was miraculously empty. I thought I would have to miss the bus due to huge crowds in the bus during peak hours. My eyelids were shutting as I walked home after alighting. How long do I have to wait until those irritating germs and bacteria are killed by antibiotics and medicine? Monday, March 1, 2010
